All Wrapped Up is back in stores! And watch out for the all-new AKA A Cappella VI!
By popular demand, we've finally reprinted our Christmas Album All Wrapped Up! This is its second reprint, and the album has already sold over 7,000 copies locally since its release. And it's still as popular as ever, especially since we're offering a special package price of $30 if you buy it together with Notes From An Island! So if you haven't already gotten Christmas presents for friends and family, here's a great gift option!
You can get the CDs at all Gramophone stores, The Esplanade Shop, all PS Cafe outlets and all LINK boutiques.
As if the Christmas season wasn't busy enough for us, we're also going to be performing at the upcoming AKA A Cappella VI concert, happening on 8 and 9 January 2010 at the Victoria Theatre! If you've been a fan of the local a cappella scene, you'll know this concert series that started it all. AKA A Cappella is finally back, in its sixth installment, featuring seasoned groups like Key Elements and Vocaluptuous (of course!) as well as young and upcoming groups like MICappella, Tone, Resonance, After Six, and Agapella. The show will also feature vocal percussionist extraordinaire Jake Moultonof American group, The House Jacks! Don't miss this exciting event! For more information, check out www.akafest.com and buy your tickets at www.sistic.com.sg today!
Oh and before I sign off, we're going to singing our final Christmas gigs in Paragon for the year (sob sob) this Christmas eve at 3.30, 4.30 and 5.30p. For all of you who have come to watch us perform, we'd like to say a very big THANK YOU for making it such an enjoyable and fulfilling month, and for those who haven't, this is your last chance to catch us!
BUT if you can't watch us live, you can catch us on air, on Boxing Day (that's 26 Dec) night on Power 98 (that's a whole lot of ons!), where we'll be singing a couple of songs, maybe even with Harry Corro ;)
Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!
Lots of love,
Vocaluptuous

Now you can hear us "live" in the air!
Beginning from August 2009, our sophomore album Notes from an Island will make its debut as part of Singapore Airlines Inflight Entertainment, under the On-demand Music section.
Following our performances at the National Day Parade 2009 (click CLIP01 and CLIP02 for the video clips), this is certainly another milestone for local a cappella as we have become the first group from this genre to be featured in SIA's dedicated entertainment programme. This means that when you do begin to miss home while on that flight out of Singapore (or coming back!), all you need to do is put on those earphones to listen to our album favourites like Harmony and Come Home. Oh! Did we forget to mention that we are on Music Channel 163? Haha.
V is for Vocaluptuous this Valentine's (14 Feb 2009)
“...Vocaluptuous
displays an impressive level of technical proficiency in the execution
of its material. Its lush vocal arrangements of perennial crowd
pleasers are delivered with sound, well-rehearsed harmonies that remain
digestible enough to captivate the listener with a blanket of genial
familiarity." - Arena, February 09 issue
Dear friends,
Vocaluptuous will be sharing a beautiful night with you this Valentine's at Paragon Shopping Centre (along Orchard Road). Our showtimes are at 8pm, 9pm and 10pm.
If you have not purchased our latest CD album, you can do so that night to help us reach the targeted amount that we wish to raise for Kidz Horizon Appeal.
Launch of "Notes From An Island" (11 Nov 2008)

Finally, it's here! This festive season, we hope to lift spirits with the launch of our second album, entitled Notes from an Island. With songs in English, Mandarin and Malay, the collection is inspired by the familiar sights, sounds, colours and culture of Singapore.
Respected names on the local music scene feature heavily on this album rich with original songs. Group music director/vocal arranger John Lee contributes his songwriting talents on many tracks and offers fresh arrangements of songs such as the title track from international recording artiste Corrine May's first album Fly Away. Other popular local names such as Dick Lee, Peter Lee, Ruth Ling, Chen Jiaming and Sydney Tan also contribute to various tracks.
A longing for home figures on the lyrics of many tracks, including My Old Hometown, Katong and Come Home. By mixing folk and contemporary music with local tunes and international rhythms, Notes from an Island also reflects the cultural diversity of Singapore as a home.
We are also aiming to raise S$50 000 from sales of Notes from an Island for Kidz Horizon Appeal, a charitable organisation that attends specifically to children who are suffering from chronic or terminal illness.
"Kidz Horizon Appeal aims to give children who are suffering from chronic or terminal illness a chance for another day. I'm glad that Vocaluptuous has taken the initiative to raise funds for us. Beyond the amount raised, I'm sure our kids will enjoy the music they make," said Caroline Low-Heah, Chairman of Kidz Horizon Appeal.
We would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to Barang Barang Pte Ltd, Anbros Industries (S) Pte Ltd and Donna Meyer for their generous sponsorship and belief in our music.
Notes from an Island (S$20) is available now at Barang Barang, and other good music stores.
